As you sow, so shall you reap......goes an ancient Chinese proverb. Apt for the current turmoil that the nation is going through. Ills are many and the blame game goes on. In the last 22 years, ever since we decided to unshackle ourselves from the license - permit raj, we have seen our perception going northwards. The up gradation from Underdeveloped to Emerging has been accompanied by "Ends are important, means are inconsequential" frame of mind. Materialistically, we have gone from BPL (Below Poverty Line) to APL (Above Poverty Line), but ethically, we have gone from APL to BPL. The fabric of values has been getting thinner and thinner.
It is against this back drop that Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's R. K. Sarda Vidya Mandir shines as a beacon of values. Our model of schooling has values at the core of the spiral around which everything else revolves. The ultimate goal is to create a generation of Global Indian citizens imbibed with values who will lead India from emerging to maturity. Parents have a very important role to play in addition to the school as they will have to stand up and reinforce the values that are being indulged in by the school. Through a combination of activities and academics, we think that we will be able to bring about wholistic development in the child. In this manner, we will be sowing the seeds for our nation's future.
