TEDxYouth@BVBRaipur – The First Chapter of Ideas Worth Spreading
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s R.K. Sarda Vidya Mandir proudly hosted its first TEDxYouth event, TEDxYouth@BVBRaipur, on 27 November 2021 at Pt. JNM Medical College, Raipur. Organised in the spirit of “ideas worth spreading,” this independently curated event brought together a vibrant and diverse community of students, educators, innovators, thinkers, and young achievers. The platform aimed to inspire meaningful dialogue, promote intellectual exchange, and encourage creativity, curiosity, and fresh perspectives, with a strong focus on youth-driven ideas and innovation.
The event featured an exceptional lineup of speakers from varied fields. Mr. Aditya Pratap Singh Chauhan, a student, researcher, innovator, ISEF alumnus, and Genius Olympiad Silver Medalist, shared his insights alongside Mr. Amitava Ghosh, Founder Principal of the school, an educationist and research scholar from IIM Shillong. Mr. Anansh Prasad, Founder of SkillSphere Education and a Cornell University alumnus, contributed as a public speaker and educationist. Mr. Arif Sheikh, DIG/Director ACB/EOW, Chhattisgarh, known for his award-winning work in community policing, addressed the audience, while Mr. Avinash Agarwal, Plus Educator at Unacademy, guided students with his experience as a civil services mentor. Mr. Deljo Joseph, Growth Manager at WSI ALM Inc., shared expertise in digital marketing.
The event also included contributions from Ms. Pranjali Magar, Senior Manager and public speaking coach at SkillSphere Education, Mr. Proteek Kundu, a social sector leader advocating sustainable livelihoods, Mr. Sundarraj Pattilingam, IPS officer and Inspector General of Police, Bastar Range, and gallantry award recipient, and Mr. Yash Chandalia, a development sector professional and BITS Pilani alumnus. Together, the speakers represented a wide spectrum of expertise, showcasing interdisciplinary knowledge and encouraging students to engage with real-world challenges and opportunities.
TEDxYouth@BVBRaipur served as a powerful platform that celebrated diverse achievements, fostered networking, and empowered young voices. It promoted confident expression, critical thinking, research-oriented learning, and solution-based discussions, while encouraging students to question, explore, and innovate. The event bridged academic learning with practical knowledge, inspired leadership, and emphasized themes such as sustainability, innovation, and social responsibility.
